1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Planitt (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Planitt is a collaborative trip planning platform that allows users to create, organize, and share travel itineraries. The Service includes AI-powered trip suggestions, social features, and optional paid subscription features.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Post or share content that is harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks connected to it
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any other malicious code
  • Spam or send unsolicited communications to other users

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create on Planitt (trip plans, notes, photos, etc.). By posting content on the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We may remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable at our discretion.

6. AI-Powered Features

The Service includes AI-powered features that generate trip suggestions and recommendations. These suggestions are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional travel advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

When you use AI features, relevant trip data may be sent to third-party AI providers (Google, Anthropic) for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Planitt offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features are clearly identified within the Service.
  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) via Stripe.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or Stripe's billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by Planitt and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Travel information provided through the Service (including AI-generated suggestions) may be inaccurate or outdated. Always verify travel details independently.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLANITT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Planitt and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
